ROCKY MOUNTAIN AUTOMOTIVE PRESS SELECTS 2017 NISSAN TITAN PRO-4X 2017 ROCKY MOUNTAIN TRUCK OF THE YEAR
Denver, Colorado, April 4, 2017 - In a presentation at the annual Charity Preview Party of the Denver Auto Show, Rocky Mountain Automotive Press (RMAP) President David Muramoto announced the winners of the Rocky Mountain Vehicles of the Year as chosen by the press corps of RMAP. The Pickup Truck of the Year award was given to the all-new 2017 Nissan Titan Pro-4X.
The three finalists included the 2017 Honda Ridgeline AWD, Nissan Titan Pro-4X and the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro. After voting was completed, the 2017 Nissan Titan Pro-4X won the honors. A banner announcing its choice as Rocky Mountain Pickup Truck of the Year for 2017 is on display at the Nissan booth on the Denver Auto Show floor.
Other vehicles announced as Rocky Mountain Vehicles of the Year for 2017 include the 2017 Volvo S90 T6 as the 2017 Rocky Mountain Car of the Year and the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica as the 2017 Rocky Mountain Crossover-SUV of the Year.
For the award, RMAP members were tasked with choosing from dozens of excellent vehicles that were new or significantly new this year. These vehicles were voted upon by a nominating committee, consisting entirely of RMAP journalists, to narrow the list of pickup truck nominees to three. The RMAP membership at large--all automotive journalists in the Rocky Mountain region to include Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, and more--were then asked to choose which pickup matched the Rocky Mountain lifestyle.
“We are proud of our membership for keeping up the long-standing RMAP tradition of choosing the best option for Rocky Mountain Vehicles of the Year,” said David Muramoto, RMAP President. “This year, we had a large group of very compelling options to choose from and the journalists in our organization stepped up to the challenge.”
